海や夏を想起させるポジティブなハウスサウンドでクラブシーンを席巻するKEI KOHARA！小室哲哉氏とYAMAHAが主催した"EOSサーキット"の入賞を切っ掛けに音楽活動をスタート。デビューEP「Midnight Express」をアナログ市場で大ヒットさせ、出世作「Summer Night Fever」はiTunes Store Danceチャート2位を達成。ルーツであるTM NETWORKトリビュートにも全面参加し、夏にはアルバム「Endless Summer」をリリース！
BIOGRAPHY (English):
A genius from Shonan, Kanagawa.
Kei Kohara is a talented artist in the worldwide techno and house scene.
He is one of the greatest track makers, fascinating various listeners and even DJs with his open-feel sound style. He is known as a beach and surf lover. Those elements directly and strongly influence his sounds and gets people to imagine “the summer” and “the ocean” in their minds.
He started his career right after he won the prize of a remixing competition "EOS Circuit" held by YAMAHA and Tetsuya Komuro, a famous Japanese composer and producer. Besides his main work which is sound production by synthesizer, he has another exceptional talent as a drummer. He exercises this talent in Death Metal bands and digital hard core units. Even though he belonged to an agency in Tokyo, he went working from live house to clubs in 2000, the year in which he encountered club music. In the same year, he brought his energetic synthesizer sound to the clubs, going from city to city.
Out of tons of other labels that scrambled for his attention, he chose "Silly Spider Music", which includes artists such as Takkyu Ishino and Kid Q.
"Midnight Express" debuted as a single from the label.
Also it was re-licenced as “EP Mike Monday remix” by a UK label "Global Harmony". It’s sales rose to reach 9000. This is an outstanding smash hit in the analog market. It has been played heavily by Paul Van Dyk, DJ Roland and others.
From +AD, one of Asian Dynasty Records labels, he released “EP Reflection” in 2005. Through that, he attained an unassailable position.
In July 2006, he released his first album "Summer Night Fever".
This album again broke records and became a smash hit in the iTune Store dance chart and on web sites where mobile phone users can download ring tones. On the web site it became the most downloaded ring tone of the month.
Now, in 2007, he is working on his second album, which he plans to release in the summer from Asian Dynasty Records.
